Drought isn't only reason for lawn woes (Herald & Review)
For a while this summer, I wondered if my lawn was going to survive. It was so hot and dry that most lawns went dormant. I watered a few times, but it was almost impossible to keep up. But since the rains came in September, most lawns now look pretty good.

I drove my car up on to my front lawn so my mom and I could move our 10-year-old 27" Sony boob tube from point living room to point backseat of my car. I didn't know I was breaking some local ordinance at the time. My neighbors did. One came out screaming, yelling at my mother to yell at me to stop.

(CP) - This is the time when deciduous trees across Canada don robes of gold, amber and crimson. It's also the time when we have to rake the lawn, stuff all that beauty in large plastic bags and moan about our aching backs.
